What never leaves your computer

What we collect, and why

WhatWhyWho handles it
Your email address and sign-in detailsTo create your account and let you sign in. Only when you sign in. We also send one welcome email when you create a free account, with getting-started tips and any current offer; it has a one-click opt-out.Clerk (sign-in)
A record of your weekly licenseSo we can help with your account: your account ID, email, plan, company (if any) and the license's dates. Kept up to 13 months.GlideClip, on Cloudflare
Your subscription status and payment detailsTo take payment for Pro. Card details go to Stripe; we never see them.Stripe, through Clerk Billing
Your synced settings (Pro)So your settings follow you to another computer: your look and brand kits, series name, blur presets (which categories each one blurs), intro and outro cards and templates, segment cards, audio, and your tags. Never videos, scans, transcripts or projects, and never the names and words you list to blur (or never blur, or blur next to): those stay on each computer. Stored against a coded ID made from your account; delete them any time on your account page.GlideClip, on Cloudflare
Counts of your AI useTo apply the monthly limit and to keep AI costs in check: the number of requests each month (deleted after 40 days) and, for each request, its time, the model and how much text went in and out, as numbers (kept up to 13 months). Stored against a coded ID made from your account, not your email. Never the text itself.GlideClip, on Cloudflare
Company settings (Enterprise)For members of a company account: the settings its admin saves (blur rules, brand kit, templates, AI data fields, limits) and the company's own AI key, stored encrypted and used only for that company's AI requests. Whether you're still a member, and your role, is checked with Clerk and remembered for 5 minutes.GlideClip, on Cloudflare; Clerk
Text you send for AI suggestionsTo suggest callouts when you turn AI on. Only the transcript, on-screen labels and your script, with the emails, phone numbers, web addresses, IDs and listed names GlideClip detects replaced by [REDACTED]. Detection can miss things, so check before you send. We pass it to Anthropic and don't store or log it.Anthropic (Claude), through GlideClip's server
Questions you ask the help AITo answer them from our help articles, when you're signed in and click Ask AI. The question goes to Anthropic and isn't stored, except a question the articles couldn't answer, which we keep for 30 days without your account, to know which help to write. Searching help without AI happens in your browser and sends nothing.Anthropic (Claude), through GlideClip's server
Messages you send to supportTo answer you: your email address, the topic, your message and our replies, plus your browser, GlideClip edition and plan if you leave that box ticked, and your account ID if you were signed in. Kept for a year after the last message. To limit spam, we count messages per sender each day using a scrambled form of your internet address, deleted after two days.GlideClip; emails sent through Cloudflare
